No papercrafting.

No I have not so much as touched a scrap of paper today as I have spent the day with my boys! :)

I did however have a quick go at a digi lo while infront of the tv this evening using a kit by Kirsty Wiseman.
Now my digi scrapping is pretty basic but I do enjoy having a go at it and am quite pleased with this result. :)

It has been raining here again today which is no fun but we managed to have dinner out and on the way home stopped off at Tesco to buy Sweeney Todd on DVD.
And the verdict on the film? I really enjoyed but it is very gruesome (well it would be I suppose) but as usual Johnny Depp is fantastic!!! He plays the odd characters so well and I really do enjoy the films he makes with Tim Burton.

Tomorrow it is haircut time for Harry ('just a trim Mum thats it' is all he says to me) and then we are off to craft club as usual for coffee, cake oh yes and a bit of crafting LOL!!!!

Its raining its pouring......

..... so that must mean it is a Bank Holiday weekend. :( It has rained all day today, but I have got some crafting done so thats good.

On Friday I had a proud Momma moment when George went on stage for commendations assembly to show off his modrock model. He was not at all shy and explained very clearly how he made his creation.
He doesn't find school easy and he does work really hard to keep up so I was very very very proud of him.

Harry is working hard too at school and having lots of rehearsals for his upcoming production of Bugsy Malone (he is Fizzy). It is a real honour for him to have a part as he is only year 5 (Year 8s usually get the main roles) and he is having to sing a solo. Boy will I need tissues that night!

BTW yesterday definately confirmed to me that my youngest son is destined to be a petrol head. He sat on my friend's hubby's Harley Davidson and the look of pure delight on his face will stay with me forever. The only problem......I did not have a camera with me which is such a shame as i could have made such a fab LO.

The LO I posted today is one I made last night using a pic of my boys and my nephew. The pic isn't fab as it is blurred in a couple of places but I had to use it for a LO as I really do love it.

Hope your weekend isn't as damp as mine xxx

Its Wednesday already!

This week sure is flying by!!!!! I really did have every intention of posting on my bloggy everyday but the days have really flown by.

Yesterday was quite emotional as it would have been William's 10th birthday. His family decided that the occassion should be marked in some form and so family and friends gathered to wish a special boy 'Happy Birthday'.
Labels with messages from friends and loved ones were attached to dozens of brightly coloured balloons and as we all sang Happy Birthday, his mum and dad, brother and sister released them into the air.
It really was a beautiful sight as we watched them soar high into the sky, and boy do they go high!!!!!
His mum and dad really did do him proud and I am sure that although he would have been embaressed he would have really really enjoyed it. :)
In addition to this I just want to post the link to Louise's fundraising page. Yesterday the funds hit £5000!!!! How fab!! So please take a look http://www.justgiving.com/williamelbrow .

The pic is of an engagement card I made for Harry's old teacher, Miss Lynch. She is such a lovely lady who has become a dear friend and deserves all the happiness in the world!

Anyway am going to go as hubs has just bought a Magnum ice cream for me. MMMMMMM!!!!!

A bit of a catch up!

OMG it has been a week since I last posted on my blog!!!! How did that happen?

I think my resolution for June will be to make post an entry each day ;)

Well it was craft club on Tuesday which was an interesting one. Traci is trying to get cardmakers to use scrapbooking items more (and why not!!!!). So we were given the choice of some scrapbooking kits and told to produce some cards.

As you can see I went for the Halloween kit and this was one of the cards i made. There is another one but the photo I took was a little bit pants.
With the bits left I am going to make a layout as I have a couple of halloween pics from last year.

On the family front Harry has not been well and I am hoping that the rest of us don't catch this bug as it was quite nasty. I have to admit to feeling a little sluggish this morning but think that may have something to do with a girls night out last night ;)

Well cricket is on this afternoon so that means a little bit of me time!!
Ahhhh I do like Sundays1!! xxxx

Lovely day!

Oh wow! It has been so lovely here today. I hope you have had nice weather too!!!

Crafting wise??? Well I have to say that it has been too nice to be stuck in my room so apart from a couple of atc's i have not created at all.

This afternoon we had the swing ball out and had a whale of a time! Not just that but I took a book outside and read. I can't remember the last time I did that and it was total bliss! :)

Hope fully tomorrow I will have a piccie to show you

A post at last!!!

Yes I know it has been nearly a week since I last posted but I felt that the last post should stay at the top of the blog for a few days longer than usual.

So I have been making stuff this week but this layout is the only I can show you at the mo :(
It was made using a kit from Traci and we all had a go at the class on Tuesday.
I was in my element and thoughly enjoyed it.

The weather is lovely at the mo and infact I am chilling out with a little glass of something at the mo - only the one Mum honest!!!!

Enjoy the rest of Saturday xxxxx

A Year Ago Tomorrow

Harry lost a classmate and friend and I witnessed one of my friends go through something no mother should have to .....ever.

It seems only like yesterday when I got that phonecall informing me that there had been a road accident and a family had been ripped apart.

Since then in an effort to raise road safety awareness Louise is raising money for Brake, a road safety charity, by taking part in the three peaks challenge.
Here is the link for Williams charity page

I am not asking you to sponsor Lou and her team (although please do if you wish), I just wanted to show you what an impact this little chap had on many many lives!!

Give your loved ones that extra hug this weekend xxxxx
