I have a headache.

Then again I am not surprised as I have been sat at my laptop most of the afternoon sorting out my website .
As i have given working for a wage I have realised that if I am to continue buying craft stash I MUST bring some money another way. Sooooooo......I have listed some diecuts on ebay and I am doing my website to sell cards and diecuts too. I know that compared to some of the other bloggers here what I am doing is small fry but its a start and who knows what can happen?
So I have done no crafting today but have achieved quite abit in other areas which I am pleased with.
Tomorrow I have got my Mum and Dad done for New Year which I am really looking forward to. But..... it means that for a few days I will not be able to get to my stash so easily as they will be sleeping in my craft room. A small price to pay for seeing ma and Pa ;-)
Finally if I don't get to post before tomorrow can I wish everyone a Happy and Peaceful New year xxxxxxxxxxx

Hello Again!

Wow - it seems that Christmas has flown by! We had a lovely time at my Mum and Dads. Boys were spoilt rotten and I got to see my gorgeous nephew for his first Christmas which was fab!

I mean check this cutie out isn't he lovely. My nine month old nephew Kyran is an absolute joy and sooo spoilt by his Auntie Clare - well you have to don't you? Hee hee hee!

He had an excellent time and loved being with my boys.

And talking of my two boys - check out these two devils. My eldest seems particularly pleased with himself. I cannot think why.

Anyway I took quite a few piccies so am going to be doing some scrapbooking over the next few days hopefully. I have not done any crafting since just before Christmas and I seriously need to do some before the shaking and twitching get too bad LOL!

Choo Choo!!

Well today it has been all about trains......bit boyish but its been fab!!!!
First we started with a trip to the cinema this morning to The Polar Express with a friend of ours and her two children. I love this film - it is just a lovely story and I can highly recomend it to anyone who wants to watch a Christmas film for all the family.
Then this afternoon it was our annual trip to the Nene Valley Railway for the Santa Special. We have done this for 7 out of 8 years we have had children. Always the last trip of the day and on the Saturday before Christmas. It is great and the boys love it as you can see from their faces. I took some lovely piccies which WILL be scrapbooked.
Since I have started scrapbooking I have started to take my camera everywhere and constantly think of pics which would be good in a LO. All I need now is a bad boy camera (Fuji - got my eye on one already LOL) and I will be all set. Hmmm don't think I have got a chance of getting one in the near future seeing as I have just given up my job and will not be bringing in any money for a while. But.... ya never know....nod nod wink wink.
Well we have a busy few days ahead of us. Travelling to My Ma and Pa's tomorrow for a couple of days. I am really looking forward to it as we all really get into the spirit of it all with them. For me Christmas is not so much a religious thing but more of a family thing. We all get together and have a great time. I Love it!!!

Obviously lots of piccies will be taken and I will update as soon as we are home.
But for now I would just like to say 'HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!'

What a roller coaster of a day!

Well my final day at work finally arrived and what a day! I was fine until they surprised me at the end of the session when some of the children I look after presented me with some goodies. Well that was it......i could feel the tears welling up and then I just sobbed. I have never cried when I have left a job before but I think with the shock of the presentation and all of the pent up emotion over the last few weeks got the better of me.

So.....a new way of life beckons and am I scared? Yes but in a good way. I am doing the right thing I know for definate. But leaving today and discussing the classes with Traci last night made it now seem so real. Crafting is going to be a full time job and I am so nervous and sooooo excited!

So what are my plans for the next few days I hear you ask....wellllllll. Tomorrow is housework from top to bottom. Hopefully crafting will be on the agenda too - if I can be a good girl and get the cleaning done first. I have a project on the go which I must get done before Sunday - details to follow as certain eyes may be watching ha ha ha!

Right quick browse through some blogs and then bed beckons!!!

Round to Monday again.

Well so much for having a quiet weekend - it didn't really happen. No crafting either apart from finishing bits on my secret project - nod nod wink wink. But I have to do some today as I need to make more Christmas cards - arghhhhh yes I know what I said about Christmas but I am running low and I need to make some for the craft club tonight.

Saturday was good as we went to see Happy Feet - the film about the dancing penquin. It was good but George was not impressed - hey ho you can't please everyone. We are going to the cinema on saturday to see a Christmas showing of the Polar Express which is one of my all time favs - can't wait!

Sunday started off quiet. Then my Auntie and Uncle popped by which was lovely as both my boys love them so much. In the afternoon we had a party to go to for a couple of five year olds....and the bar was open. Well it would be rude not to indulge. A couple of G & Ts later and Mummy was a happy bunny!!!!!

Right here is what is happening today - school run, other secret project for an hour, crafting (hopefully), Sky man, school run again, craft club. Phew!!!!!!

I have that Friday feeling!

Da da dahhhhhhhh!!!!!! It's FRIDAY!!!!!!!! Am soooooo glad to see the backend of this week - it has been a real pig! Also after today I have just two mornings left at work next week so from 11.30 Wednesday morning I am Free!! Hurrah! No more dirty nappies or stupid parents leaving their children with me when they have been sick the night before.

Crafting wise I have been pottering around with bits. I am working on something secretly at the mo for some special people. I don't want to say too much just yet but I will post piccies when its appropriate. I love doing things like that it gives me a lovely warm feeling.

School run then work this morning. Will see where the afternoon takes me besides swimming lessons for the boys later.

Catch y'all later xx

My goodness.....

...is it Wednesday already??!! I have not been very good updating this blog this week have I? So much has been going on in the afternoons and evenings that by the time the boys have gone to bed I am half asleep.

But hopefully most of the after school stuff has finished now for Xmas so tonight I have a free evening - yipee!!!!

Crafting wise I finally finished Steve's Christmas card. I am so pleased with it and he was chuffed to bits. Here are some piccies - they are not great but you get the idea.

Things are coming together for Christmas although I cannot believe how quick it is creeping up on us. Wow!!! Big day will be here soon and I cannot wait. We are going to my mum and dads for a family Christmas which I love and for me that is what Christmas is about - family!
Crikey is that the time....better had get the boys ready for bed and then I think it will be pj time and a mess about with my scrapbook stuff - bliss!

'Right' said Traci......

'Lets have a secret Santa for the Monday night craft club. But you have to make something.' Hmmm a challenge.....like the sound of that. So I set to work and finally finished said pressie last night. I don't want to say too much as I know a couple of the ladies including Traci look at my blog occasionally but here are some sneaky peaks.......
****Quick note to Traci - please note use of fibres******
Busy weekend hence lack of blog entry - sorry Mum!! But had a fabby time at the scrapbooking workshop which was at Maze of Memories. Totally inspired and I can see that I will be as hooked on this as I am on cardmaking. Once my layouts are totally finished I will of course post them on here.
Sunday consisted of Xmas decorations which was great fun as the boys helped me. I did not have to rearrange the baubles once as they did such a great job. We are now starting to feel very Christmassy at Feary Towers - lovely!

Harry has his School concert tonight although it has been doubtful whether he would make it or not as he is abit poorly with his asthma. He is definately going tonight not so sure about tomorrow we will see. But for now it will be proud parent night tonight as he has a speaking part - awwww hankies at the ready I think!!!!

How difficult is it......

to choose pictures for a scrapbook workshop?? I have a workshop to go to tomorrow which I am looking forward to but I am having a hard time choosing piccies. I mean when you have photos as cute as this one what can you do?????
I have gone for a mix of the boys, and older ones of mum and dad and grandparents etc. Just got to print them all off now and try to narrow down my selection.
One good thing was that I sat down and looked through loads of albums and keepsake book which was quite an emotional experience. Time flies by so quickly and the boys grow and change so much. Also seeing piccies of my grandparents was quite an emotional thing too but nice as you are taken back to all those happy times spent with those people who still mean so much to you even though they are no longer here.
Anyway enough of that I have work this morning - after today I have just 6 sessions left to do - YIPEEE!!! Not that I want to leave you understand LOL! This afternoon I think I will be getting piccies ready for tomorrow - did I say how much I am looking forward to tomorrow - can't wait!!!

Good and bad day...... ***pics added**

The last few days have been such an roller coaster of emotions for us here at Feary towers. First lets start with the bad news.....

Some idiots last night broke into my boys school and smashed windows in six classrooms (yr 3 and 4). They then stole equipment etc which are only a couple of years old and very expensive. WHY???!!! It makes me so sad that people could do this sort of thing anyway but to a Primary school..... it just beggars belief. The teachers were in tears and so were the children who were obviously not allowed in school today because of all the glass lying around. The school is such a lovely one and all the teachers work so hard to make it pleasant for then children and this happens. I am so upset and at the same time so angry. I just hope they catch them and string them up. There is no excuses for this sort of behaviour towards 8 and 9 year olds.

Now for the good news....... George my four year old had his Reception play yesterday and today. Awwww definately a proud mummy moment. He was a cheeky monkey in the Story of the Sad Penquins. At the end all of the children got on stage and sang the first verse of Silent Night and then they repeated it only this time they did sign language. Well this mummy had tears in her eyes both yesterday and this morning when I saw it again. It was a very emotional thing and George loved it! Next week Harry has his concert so the tissues will be at the ready again.

And finally.....ALL CHRISTMAS CARDS ARE FINISHED!!!!!!!!. Well apart from the cover of Steve's but that is not too much. I am soooo happy to get them done as I have a number of projects I want to have a go at - so watch this space.

Its blowing a gale out there!!!

Wow how windy and wet is it out there - its horrible!!!! And I have to go out in it :-( Oh well nevermind. Busy day ahead of me today - work this morning and then George's first school play this afternoon. I will post piccies if I can get any decent ones.

Talking of photos here is my house lit up. It looks quite subtle - didn't want the tacky look plus we have not lived in this house for a full year yet and don't want the neighbours to think that the clampits have moved in. LOLHad a great craft class last night - we made some stars which I have dying to do for a long time. Here we all are on Traci's blog . Also managed to get a few more cards done yesterday I think I have got about 20 more to do which MUST be done today. Update you later on that one. New cards have been added to my slide show so please take a look.

Its ..... Monday!

Monday is here already - where did the weekend go?????

Anyway boys are dropped off at school and I am here in my room sorting out the piccies of my cards which I did last night. Still got more to make but that light at the end of the tunnel is at least abit brighter LOl!

Here are two of them from yesterday and the rest are on the slideshow. Any comments gratefully received as its nice to get any sort of feedback!

Steve is at this very moment hanging up some outside Xmas lights - a quiet job you might think? Oh no hammer is now out and there are some loud banging noises coming from the front of our house. He has announced to me that we a trip to a diy place will be called for this morning. Oh heck! Then again will I get a lunch out if I go too hmmm will update later.

Right those cards won't make themselves - catch ya later!!!

Its oh so quiet......

its oh so still. As in the words of Bjork. And that can only mean one thing........bedtime!!!! I love my boys but crikey have they been noisey today.

Busy morning helping Traci with the kids craft workshop, which was great fun and Harry loved it. He wanted to know when they will be more workshops.... so come on Traci!

Bit of a funny afternoon following a phonecall from my brother about his partner which I am not going to talk about on here. But want to send them both big hugs and an extra hug for my little nephew Kyran who is very special to me.

Now that they boys are in bed I am trying to get some cards done for Xmas. Just got the ones to do for my Avon customers so they don't have to be as intricate as family ones but I keep getting distracted. I will get there as I am determined to get them finished this week - I am all Christmased carded out. Is that a phrase? Answers on a postcard please! I will get some piccies of them taken tomorrow when the light is better and I have a few more done.

I can honestly say I am really enjoying doing this blog - it is great to just sit and take stock of what I have achieved each day - good or bad! My mum loves it!

Right onwards and upwards - cards to make!

Evening all!

Well thank goodness today I feel 100% better. Was fed up of feeling so grotty.

Had a lovely day today - not done any crafting - but still a nice day!

Started with hairdressers for a colour and cut - lovely no more grey hairs on show hee hee hee. Then off to the local craft market to see what Traci was up to and to lend a hand if necessary.

At 3pm the town lights were turned on. It was lovely singing carols around the tree with the town band. Then back to the craft market for wine and mince pies - yummy!!!!

Back home with a chinese takeaway and Come Dancing and now Robin Hood. Bliss!

Steve is going out with the 'boys' in a little while for their Annual Gentlemans Social Evening so once the boys are in bed my time is my own. Very nice too.

Off to the Craft Cabin in the morning for the Childrens Christmas Workshop which Harry is doing as he loves any sort of crafting. In the afternoon I WILL do some Christmas cardmaking and get them finished once and for all. Will let you know if this plan works out. ;-)

Bit poorly...... **edited**

thats me today. So much so that I have decided not to go into
work. I think Steve realised I really wasn't well when I said 'no
work today' as I don't like to take time off.

Then again I did feel better after I saw this picture I had to take before school this morning. What a picture of cuteness. Crikey George does love that kitten!

Slow day to start with thank goodness and then it gets busier as the day goes on ending with the school Christmas Fair tonight. This is an annual event which is lovely but manic and the kids just love it!

Think I may go and sort my hair out and then a cuppa I think.

****edited****

Well we have returned from the Xmas Fair which was busy to say the least but it is for the PTA so its for a good cause.

As you can see I picked up a couple of blonde haired reindeer while I was there!!!!
