Its Christmas Eve!!!

Yes Christmas has begun!
Presents are wrapped, shopping done, house is gleaming, ham is cooking in the oven and we are awaiting our guests.

Besides that I just wanted to wish every one of you a Merry and peaceful Christmas.
Treasure those you have about you and just have a lovely time. xxxxxxxx

And so it begins......

Yes that is right the cleaning for Christmas is starting today!
I have split the house in two halves downstairs today and upstairs tomorrow.
Well you have to make an effort when you have guests coming!!!!!

The food shopping is ordered - oh my word do I actually have room for all of this?????? - and will be here on Sunday.

Just got some stocking fillers to wrap for the boys and then - I think - I am done until Christmas Eve. Hmmmm then again something might come and bite me in the bum for trying to be organised. LOL xxxxxxx

Fav card!!!

Have you ever made a card that you love so much you just don't want to give it away?

Well I had this dilemma yesterday when I made this card for my Mum and dad. It was one made from envelopes which Traci had made and I decided to copy it (thanks Traci).
I loved this card as soon as I saw it and I have to admit was quite apprehensive when it came to posting it yesterday. But Mum reported that it arrived this morning and her and Dad are really pleased with it so at least it has gone to a good home LOL!
Then this morning I got a surprise when Traci gave us the original card for Xmas - so I have one of my own now. Thanks Traci!!!!!

I went to craft club this morning - the last one before Christmas - and we had a lovely time just messing about with scrap bits and some punches. I made a couple of cards which I will photo tomorrow and post on here.

Ohhhhhh tomorrow is hair day. Cut and a colour for me which means a couple of hours pampering - ahhhh bliss!!!!!

Going up a chimney????

Aww bless him my little Victorian boy!!!
Last Friday Harry had a school trip to Holdenby House which is a Victorian House allowing visitors to experience the whole Victorian way of life.
So obviously an outfit had to be produced and on the whole I think I did quite a good job!!!!
Harry had a fab time but I think he realised just how lucky he is to be living in an age of Nintendo's and Ipods LOl!!!

On a crafting note I think that I have finally finished my Christmas cards (please please no more!!!!). I made my ma and pa's today and also my bro's and everything is also posted - finally.
Once my parent's card is received I will post a piccie as I am quite chuffed with it even though I did copy it from Traci (thanks Hun LOl)

Right hot choccie is beckoning mmmmmmmmmm xxxxxx

First concert done.....

Check out how serious George looks on stage!!!!
He had the most important role of Kings servant - well I told him it was the most important anyway!
Last night we had also had the first of Harry's concerts, which I will post piccies of when I have taken them off my camera.
As usual at these things Mama got a little emotional but to be honest I am allowed to - its Mummy rights!!!!!
Tonight the boys have another performance to do which will be their last ones. Boy will they be tired tomorrow!!

Things are now winding up for Xmas and to be honest the boys will be glad when next Friday arrives and we can begin our Christmas hols properly. But for now we have parties, concerts and carol services to attend - we will certainly be in the Xmas spirit!

Been busy!

It has been a busy week hence no post for which I apologise but to be honest I don't now what I have been up to!!!!! It has been lots of bits and pieces which I can't really remember but I know that I have been busy!!!
This week is busy too as both of the boys schools have their Xmas concerts so with two performances each I am going to be toing and froing alot to school. But I have to admit I love Xmas concerts especially for the little ones and it truely does get you into the spirit of the season.
I have made a couple of things including the two birthday cards for my friends dad. They were made using Cuddly Buddly downloads. She was chuffed with them so that was good!!!!
It madea nice change to make something other than Xmas cards!!!!!!
Right school run to do and then a busy day ahead!!! xxxx

Christmas Journal Day 2

Yes I am still running behind on the class but I have done 2 pages so far so its a start LOl!
The prompt for day 2 was weather and obviously most people would love a white Christmas as would we!!!!!! So I thought snow would be a better subject rather than the rain we have had over the last few days!
I am enjoying this class but I have that nagging feeling which is telling me I need to catch up

No crafting has been done today but I have managed to get quite abit of pressie wrapping done!

Must get some pictures taken of the Bo Bunny things I made Monday night - they are fab!!!

Christmas Journal Class.

Last year I noticed a few crafters taking part in Shimelle's Christmas Journal Class. At the time I thought that it was a fantastic idea to journal what can be a hectic but lovely time of year. Afterall some people are so busy with organising for this holiday that it is hard to spend a little
time thinking about what makes this time of year important for them.

So this year I have taken the plunge and signed up to take part. Admittedly I am a couple of days behind but I am getting there and have promised that by the end of today I WILL catch up and be more prepared for the days ahead.

I have posted the cover and the 1st prompt which was a Manifesto or promise to yourself for the coming holiday.
My promise to myself - well that was to spend a little time each day creating a journal which, in time, will show my family allof our Christmas traditions both old and new!

Oh by the way last night I started a two part class on Christmas Bo Bunny and.........wow oh wow I am loving it!!!! Will take some piccies and post them tomorrow. It is a fab class - thanks Traci!!!

Right more pages to do xxxxxx

Its that time of year!!!

When things start to get just that little bit busy and slightly hectic.
Most of it is due to the little munchkins in this picture who are the world to me. Christmas concerts, plays, parties and the usual after school activities seem to take over our lives at the mo - but oh what fun they have!!!
I came across this pic this evening. It was taken on my birthday by hubs with my super duper camera and do you know what? This is one of the few pictures with me in it that I actually like.
People who know me well know that I HATE having my piccie taken - I am not photogenic at all. But I may have to scrap this one as it is not bad at all!!!!!

Ok so totally non crafting but........

I am soooooo excited!!!!!!!!

My hubby who is the bestest hubby ever has managed to get tickets for us to see possibly the greatest rock band in the world!!!!!
Yes I am going to see the Foo Fighters next June at Wembley - ohhhh me is soooo happy!
My nine year old is gutted as he also quite likes them but unfortunately he is not quite old enough (thats the excuse I have given him anyway!) - bless him!

Besides this exciting news, which I have to say was the highlight of last week, we managed to get our Xmas shopping done at Milton Keynes on Saturday. This was courtesy of my Mum and dad who very very kindly took care of the munchkins for the day.

Thanks Mum and Dad for this - you are stars and the boys had a fabby timexxxxxxxxx PS are you free next June by the way - we have a little concert to go to!!!??? LOL! xxxxxx

Real Life.....

can sometimes get in the way of crafting - hence my excuse for not bloggin regulary again!!!!!!

Its been a little hectic around the Feary household - boys off school sick, dining room and living room being decorated for Xmas, daily DG duties and general getting ready for Xmas!!!
I am doing a bit of card making here and there and it is mainly Xmas cards - surprise surprise!!!!!!

Anyway here is a card I made at my weekly class a little while ago. It is made using a teabag technique and although paper folding is not my most favourite thing in the world I quite enjoyed making these cards. Just goes to show you should always try something different!

Well am going to be brave tonight and watch the footie - hmmmm sucker for punishment or what???????

Wednesday, November 14, 2007

Busy day!!!

Yes I have actually been at work today and been there for 5 hours!
I work the odd hour at a local children's shoe shop and it is quite a nice job to have! Usually it is on a Saturday I work but as it is stock take time extra hands were required!

Also this morning I had a card order - fabby!!!! Hopefully a few more will follow and I also need to get my Xmas cards finished as soon as!

Here is a card I did a little while ago. I do have some cards awaiting photos to be taken. I will try and get these done tomorrow - honest!

Right hubby has just turned up from work finally so going to spend some quality time with him xxxx

I know I know!!!!!

I am an awful blogger at the mo and after last weeks promises too!!!!!

But in my defence I have been quite poorly (again!!!), so poorly infact I have not done any crafting as I have been feeling so pants.
After an earache which started last weekend I finally went to see the doc on Thursday who told me that my ear was full of pus as a result of an ear infection and the ear drum had also burst. As always I don't seem to do things by half!!!!!!!
Thankfully though the antbiotics seem to be working and I feel loads better!!!

Anyway here is a card I made a few weeks ago - I needed to post A picture of A card I made recently LOL!

Two posts in two days!!!!

How good am I????? LOL!

Well I have had a really busy day and infact have only just sat down in my own home.

For most of the day I have been helping Traci at the local craft market. It was definately better supported than last month so that was good and hopefully next month will be even better!

After we got home we came up with the daft idea of going over to Ikea this evening and very kindly Traci offered to feed and look after the boys while we did so. When we got there we found what we wanted but unfortunately we could not get six chairs and the table in the car at the same time. So for now we bought the chairs and sometime next weeks hubs is going to get the table. oh and I have decided that I need a hanging rail with some tubs etc in my room so Steve bless him will have a few extras to pick up tee hee hee!

Right gonna go and chill - have a good evening!!! xxx

I am such a bad blogger!

For any regular readers of my blog I really must apologise for the lack of updates recently.

You would really think that with the boys going back to school on Tuesday after a week off I would have the time to update more often. But to be honest I just don't know where the week has gone to.

I have managed to do a couple of bits of crafting but blogger is playing up so I can't show you any piccies of my projects :(.

Anyhow IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!! yipeeeeeeee! And what am I up to tomorrow? Well its the craft market in Thrapston so will be helping Traci and then Sunday I feel a trip to Ikea may be on the cards as we want/need a new dining table and chairs. Me lubs Ikea!!!!!!

Oh and also on Sunday we are heading over to a friends house for a little get together with a few fire works and poss the odd glass of wine afterwards ;))

Right I promise that I will update this blog more regularly - honest I will!!!!!!

Time Flies

Oh my goodness time does fly! It really doesn't seem like a week since I last blogged.

Well the plaster finally came off last Wednesday much to my relief (and everyone elses!!!). However I was a bit disappointed as I expected it to come off and I would be pain free and be back to normal. Alas it wasn't so and I was warned that it could be up to three months before things are back to how they should be.
So I am still to take things easy which isn't simple when you have a 5 and 9 year old to chase about!

We had bad news on Saturday. Steve's granny who is 90 was taken into hospital and she has been quite poorly but things are now looking up and we are all hoping and are sure she will be ok.

Besides that I have been making the occasional Xmas card and making a few cards from the Lets Make Cards magazine. Oh and I am doing a two week course with Traci on how to make a ribbon bound album. Monday was the first night and I really enjoyed it! Thanks Traci xxx

Right am gonna goxxxxxxx

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

This time tomorrow.......

and I will be out of plaster or at least I hope to be. These last five weeks have gone soooo slow and it has been awful to be reliant on other people for such silly things. Although the people who have helped me have been absolute stars in particular my hubs who as always has been fabby. Love ya Steve xxx and thank you so much xxxxxxxx

Still over the last few days I have been making cards for Xmas using stash from last year. They are quick cards and simple in design but bearing in mind that last year I made nearly 100 I thought I would get them started earlier this year.
Here is one of them from yesterday and I am quite pleased with it.

Today I was at the craft club and it was as usual great fun. Traci always provides great projects to work on and the group is lots of fun so it was a great morning!!!

Not done much else in the way of crafting today as to be honest I was not feeling 100 per cent this afternoon. But I may have a little play tonight. xxxxx

The weekend has flown by.....

it really has. It has gone in a flash and I not like that one bit!!!

Saturday was lovely as Mum and Dad came down for the day. It seems so long since we saw them last with one thing or another. But we had a fab day and the Harry got a Gaelic footie shirt and George a Munster Hoodie top so they were throughly spoilt.
Thanks for coming to see us Ma and Pa we had a lovely day - hope you did too xxxxxxx

Today has been busy too. Went craft shopping this morning, followed by lunch out, and then we visited the inlaws for the afternoon.

Phew we are now back home, showered boys in bed and we are now settling infront of the tv to see who England will play in the Rugby World Cup Final next weekend.

BTW the card is one I made for Traci who was the grand old age of 31 on Friday. Must admit I quite liked this one - infact she almost didn't get this card lol!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend xxxx

6 Days to go!!!

until this blooming plaster comes off! Yipee less than a week now - hurrah.

The last few days have been quieter than usual as I am desperately trying to get this foot to heal before next Wednesday. So at every opportunity the foot has been put up and rested. Honest it has!!!

Crafting wise I have done a few cards and also this ATC which had to be a flower theme. Hmmmm very pink but very lovely!!
It is the 2nd ATC I have done but must admit I could become quite a fan of doing these!

Right off to have a play with some paper!!! xxx

Wednesday, October 10, 2007

Good couple of days!!!!!

Crikey it is Wednesday - how did that happen!?

Anyway besides being in plaster (which is not good) the last few days have been quite good.

I spent a really nice morning yesterday with Traci's
craft group messing around with diecuts. It was a great morning and everyone at the venue is so friendly. To be honest it is nice to be out and about.

I also had some good news on Sunday evening. The digi layout I posted on here on Friday won the layout comp on Traci's forum. Yipeeeee!!! I was soooo chuffed and very suprised as to be honest I only entered as a bit of fun as digi is still quite new to me.

Last night I decided to print off the digi layouts I have done so far in 8x8 format. I just so happened to have a spare album that size which I then decorated using die cuts from my new Cricut machine. I am pleased with the outback - hope you like too!!!!

BTW we are now on the final week countdown for the plaster. 1 week today and the blooming thing comes off!!!!!!

Monday, October 08, 2007

Oh so tired!!!

I am soooooo tired. You would think that after over 3 weeks of being in plaster I would be used to sleeping with it. Oh no - and today I think it has caught up with me as I feel really shattered.

Anyway enough of that now down to the important thing - crafting.

I made another digi layout on Saturday night using another kit of Kirsty's . At the moment digi is great for me as I can sit on the sofa with my foot up and create on my lappy.

I really must sit and watch the PSP tutorial cd so that I can make the most of the program and therefore improve my digi scrapping!!!!!

Right going to potter today I think xxxxxxx

Saturday, October 06, 2007

Digi again!

I am on a roll at the moment where digi is concerned.

Here is one I put together this evening while watching Strictly Dancing!

The kit is courtesy of Kirsty Wiseman who is a top designer and ace photographer.

Friday, October 05, 2007

I went digi!!!

Yes I have attempted a little bit of digi scrapping tonight.
This is a new thing for me and only about the third digi layout I have ever done. So all in all I am quite pleased with this.
It was done for a layout comp on Traci's forum so if you fancy having a go at a layout comp head over to there!!

Thankgoodness it is Friday. I have to admit that my poor foot is really sore tonight so will be glad to have hubs home so that he can run after the boys!!!

Tomorrow I am 'helping' Traci at the craft market. Although I think helping will be a rather loose term.

Whatever you decide to do have a good time xxxx

Tuesday, October 02, 2007

My new baby is here!!!!!

Yes my birthday pressie is here and I lubs it soooooooo much!!!!!!

I have had a play on it already and once you get the blade and pressure settings sorted then wow!!!!! It is fantastic and I can't believe I finally have one of my own!!!! My hubs is so lovely and fab to buy me one and I know I am a very lucky girl.

Today I had a lovely time at craft class. We had to choose a template and create a card or scrapbook layout using it. The catch was it had to be made using mainly paper although we were allowed chalks, inks and pencils. I had great fun and it certainly got the old grey matter working!!!!

Foot is still hurting a little so I am trying a glass of wine tonight as painkiller and it seems to be working so far - hic!!!!!!

Monday, October 01, 2007

Happy Birthday to Me!!!!!

Yup its my birthday today and yes I am 21 ...................... again!!!!!!!! Actually I am 34!!! How did that happen???? When did I suddenly become an adult??? Answers on a postcard please.
Well because I am still in plaster I would be doing the usual partying, raving and having it large - ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!
I have been spoilt rotten by my boys and family and friends. I have had dvds, choccies galore, and other gifts which are lush. On top of that my hubby very kindly ordered a Cricut machine for me yesterda - well actually he told me I could have one, I ordered it and he gave me the money. So hopefully this new toy will make an appearance over the next day or two.
Things have certainly been hapening over the weekend and one big thing is amazing. It will be hard work but I am really excited about it and it is a terrific opportunity. I will also be working with someone who, although gives me alot of hassle and takes the mickey out of me alot at the moment, I admire and count as a very good friend.
Right hmmmm chocolate!!!!!! Mmmmmmmmmmmm xxxxxx

Wednesday, September 26, 2007

Hopity hop hop hop!!

Thats what I seem to be doing at the moment!

Anyway went to Traci's craft class yesterday and made three lovely cards for Xmas. She very kindly acted as my taxi driver too with pick up and drop off service at the door!!! Will take some pics of the cards and post them tomorrow.

This is a pic of my 1st ever ATC which was made for a little craft group I belong to. It may be just a little card but to be perfectly honest I was really stumped as to what to do with it but I think it worked out quite well for a 1st attempt.

Tonight was proud momma time too for me. Harry had a parent's evening at his new school just to see how they are are all settling in. His teacher was really pleased and reckoned he has prob settled in the best out of the boys in his class. Not only that but all of his other teachers have commented at how happy, confident and polite he always is. This comment above anything else made me so proud. Of course I want him to do well academically but to hear that that he has adjusted well and is happy and well mannered made my day. Gosh did he get a big hug from his proud momma!!!!!

Right early night for me I think as sleeping with a plaster on your leg is not as easy as you think!!!!

Monday, September 24, 2007

Trying something new......

We had a lovely weekend. Its gone in a bit of a blur but it was lovely.

Traci very kindly invited us all round for Sunday Tea oooppps no sorry Sunday Dinner!!! It was fab and we all enjoyed it so Traci - thanks hun for feeding us we will be back next Sunday!!! LOL!

My foot is still aching a little and I have now got to realise that it is not going to heal over night. I have just got to be patient - hmmmmmm is that possible?

My latest creations are something totally new to me - ATC and Fat Book pages. I have posted just the pages today (front and back) so the other will have to wait for tomorrow.
I enjoyed doing them and it was quite a challenge to work with new dimensions of card.
Hope you like them xxx

Saturday, September 22, 2007

I am being let out for a while!!!

Yes that's right I am escaping for a couple of hours this morning with a friend.
I know I am going slightly stir crazy at the mo so may be a little shopping and a cuppa in Waitrose will do me some good - easily pleased eh????

Thursday, September 20, 2007

Well I am plastered!!!!!

Oh yes I am going to be in plaster for the next four weeks!!!!!
When they took the temp one off yesterday it was pretty evident that the foot was still broken and it was also a mulitude of colours. So I have a weight bearing plaster now which is fab as I can at least get about a bit more and more importantly I can take George to school.

So having done a few jobs around the house and the school run I am knackered so am going to take it slow for the rest of the day until this afternoon's school run. A little crafting and maybe some web surfing may be called for.

Wednesday, September 19, 2007

Fingers and Toes crossed please!

Yes I am seeing another doc today but this time it is about my foot at the hospital.
It has been in a temp plaster since last Thursday so this afternoon will see wether I will be plasterless or in a brand spanking new more permanent one. Can my foot be mended in a week???? Hmmmmm watch this space for an update.
I do think that my mate Traci is hoping for new plaster as she is dying to decorate one. It is really nice to have a friend with your interests at heart LOL.

Talking of Traci this lady has had some really good news over the last week. I am sooo pleased for her and it is really well deserved as she is one of the most hard working people I know. Well done hun - the boys and I are so pleased for you!

As for crafting well I have a number of projects on the 'go' at the mo so no new pics I am afraid but here is George's birthday card from a couple of weeks ago. He is a huge Cars fan as you can tell!!!!

Monday, September 17, 2007

Ok so I am not laughing now....

Right so I broke a bone in my foot ...... fair enough these things happen. But now I have got a chest infection too - what is going on??????

Feeling slightly sorry for myself but am getting about ok so things are not so bad.

Steve has not been well either so this really has been a poorly house.

The weekend was fairly quiet apart from a trip to Traci's on saturday for a spot of crafting. I made (with a little help from Traci) a fab album which I will take a piccie of tomorrow and post on here. Thanks Traci for keeping me from going completely stir crazy!!!!!!!!

This card was made quite a while ago from a monthly kit from tjcdesigns . Traci has lots of products for cardmaking and scrapbooking alike - I can highly recommend this site ;)

Well tonight I think I will be blog surfing and spending some time with my hubby xxxxxx

Friday, September 14, 2007

All I did was go to the theatre..............

and look what happened!!!!!!!!
I have broken a bone in my foot and I was sober at the time.
I am stunned that just twisting your foot can do this.

So at the moment I have a temporary cast on until Wednesday. Hopefully by then the break may have healed but if not then it is plaster for a few weeks. OMG!!!!!

The upside is I can't do housework at the mo as I can't put weight on the temp plaster at all. Yipeeeeee what a result! However this lack of movement is driving me bonkers so if it isn't good news on Wednesday then i am gonna scream.

Traci has been round to see me laugh and take photos. Friends eh??????

This weekend then will prob be taken up with crafting as nothing else can be done. Ah well hard life eh??????

Monday, September 10, 2007

Poorly!

Yes that is me - I am not very well. Infact I sound like an old man who has been smoking his entire life and I can tell you this - it's not attractive!!!!!!

Things have slowly been getting back to normal since school started last Wednesday and I am gradually getting back into that routine.

George has started year 1 and seems to like his new teacher and classroom assistant. But he has started to do the lets cry when the bell goes trick which is an absolute joy first thing in the morning. Hmmm that boy certainly knows which buttons to press.

Harry on the other hand has settled into his new school like a dream and seems to be really enjoying it. This is a relief as changing schools is such a big thing when you are 9 and the
differences between them are huge!

I could not resist some piccies which I have only just sorted out. George does not look too happy in the top piccie but I was determined to get one of them together.

I am going to attempt some crafting this afternoon as I have had to cancel my driving lesson. Bliss!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday, September 04, 2007

I Think we are ready.......

for school that is.

Clothes are all labelled and bags are packed. Boys have been showered and will be in bed early ready for first day back tomorrow.

Here is a piccie taken of Harry in 2003 when he wa starting year 1. He looks so diddy and very very cute!!!!!!
Tomorrow he starts his first day at the local middle school and year 5. My goodness how time has flown!!!!
I am more nervous than him I think and he is sooo excited.

George starts year 1 tomorrow with the same teacher Harry had back then. She is a lovely lady and I am really looking forward to his year ahead.

So tomorrow I am on my own for the first time in six and half weeks and that will be really weird. Then again I won't be entirely on my own as I am nipping over to Traci's for a chat and poss some crafting.

Right am going to spend some time with Harry before bedtime xxxx

Sunday, September 02, 2007

It's been a few days!

Blimey it has been busy here with one thing or another!

Unfortunately not in a crafting sense but more of a post holiday pre school type of way.

But I think that as of now I can honestly say that we are all labelled and ready for school - hurrah!!! The only thing is I am really not looking forward to the early morning routine - urghhhh!!!!!
Then again they don't actually go back until Wednesday but tomorrow and Tuesday we are having 'practise runs' to get the boys prepared ;)

Today has been fun as George had a few friends over at the bowling alley for a little party. I was actually dreading it but every child was really well behaved and it was fab!!! He is well and truly birthdayed out and WILL be in bed by 7pm tonight.

I on the other hand may be catching up on blog reading and web browsing xxxx

My Birthday Boy!!!!

Well my baby is now five!!!!

Oh my goodness where has the time gone?

He had a fabby time yesterday and he is sooooo pleased to now be the grand old age of five :)

He had a couple of friends over for tea and a play in the garden and of course everyone admired his new set of wheels!!!!!

This little chap has wanted a motorised car for such a long time and so this year we decided to get one for him. His little face was a picture but apparently it does not go fast enough!!! Hmmmm me thinks we have a boy racer on our hands!!!!!!

Tuesday, August 28, 2007

My poor room!!!!

My craft room is mine. Its a tranquil and creative space just for me in this house of boys.

Hmmm so imagine my shock this morning when Steve informed me that 'a slight leak had occured from the shower and had gone through downstairs'.

Now my room is below the shower. Panic set in - and what was my main concern??? The ceiling, the floors? No way - my first question was 'Are my papers and bears ok?????' Well you have to get your priorites right?????

So my ceiling is looking not pretty but hopefully will dry out soon. And my papers and bears?? they were fine - yes you can all breathe a sigh of relief!!!!

I escaped for a few hours to a craft class run by Traci and we made a Xmas Star Card which is fabby and once I have finished I will take piccie and upload.

I was also given a pressie from Traci which is sooooo lush and girly and will look so at home in my room especially when I have decorated it which will now be sooner rather than later. A piccie will follow and I just want to say THANKYOU TRACI!!!!!!!xxxxxxxx

The pic on tonights post is one I took in Lyme Regis. All along the prom are these street lights and aren't they lovely? According to my son they are Amonite shells - I just loved the design!!!!

Tomorrow will be busy as it is my baby's birthday. He will be the grand old age of five and he just can't wait. My boy is growing up!!!!!

Monday, August 27, 2007

Back home!!!

Well we got back home from our holiday and boy we had a great time!!!
The weather was not great to start with but by the end of the week it was lovely and we all actually caught the sun a little.
This piccie was taken at the start of the week at Portland Bill and boy was it windy and cold there! Infact at the little cafe there we were so cold we ordered hot chocolates - in August!!!!!
We chilled out and there was no dashing here, there and everywhere. But we still went out everyday and did something. We even had a go at crabbing which was something Steve and I enjoyed more than the boys!!!
But on Saturday it was back to earth with a big bang although I have now finally caught up with the washing and ironing and so now feel like I can relax a little. Steve is off this week too which is fab as I think he is planning a few jobs around the house.
We also have George's birthday on Wednesday - my baby will be five! So this week will be lots of fun!!!!!
Tomorrow i am escaping for a couple of hours so that I can take part in Traci's craft class - bliss!!!!

Friday, August 17, 2007

We are off to the seaside!!

Today was my hubbys birthday!!!

Bless him he is now the grand old age of 35 - it is hard to believe that he was 19 when I first met him!!!!!

The picture opposite is the Box of Love I made for him instead of a normal card. I got the idea from Traci who made one for her dad. Steve loved it as it just summed up all that I felt about him without saying alot in words. Thanks for the idea Traci!!!!

The card below is what I made for the boys to give to their dad and again he loved this one too!!!!

We have had a busy day getting ready for our holiday tomorrow but we made sure that Steve was taken out for tea to frankie and Benny's and as usual the food was lovely!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE LOVE YA LOTS XXXXX

So tomorrow is our week long holiday to Weymouth and boy are we looking forward to it. Hopefully I will be able to post during the week but if not I will update you on our comings and goings next weekend!!!!

Have a good week everyone xxxxxxxx

Wednesday, August 15, 2007

Nearly there!!!

Oh yes not long until Saturday and our week long holiday. I am soooo looking forward to it and so are the boys.
Steve has just got tomorrow at work and then he is off work for over two weeks - yippeeeeee!
I am slightly excited about this can't you tell!

Today has been slightly quieter than yesterday. Harry has been at a friends house since 10.30 this morning and he is still there! So it has just been George and I, which was nice and I have been able to get on with the dreaded housework. Urghhhhh!

I made this card today and the design is a first for me. I have often seen these flowers made out of strips of paper and so I thought I would give it a go. Not bad for a first attempt!

I have got more sorting out tomorrow for hols and a trip to a friends house in the afternoon for tea and a gossip!

Have a great evening xxxx

One card!

Yes that is right I managed a card today. Now considering I had three boys running around the house today that is not bad!

I like this one as it's quite funky and bright. It was made using some odd bits of paper left from a magazine which is a great way of making a quick but lovely card.

Today George had a friend over for a play and some lunch and then later my Auntie popped over with her 7 year old grandson. Surprisingly all four boys played really nicely together and there were no rows at all. What a result!!!!

Tomorrow is housework and getting some stuff sorted for our hols which starts on Saturday. We are heading for the Dorset coast for a week and we cannot wait! It is going to be a week of chilling out and fun! Hurrah!!!!

Now what I need to do is find some good craft shops in Dorset mwahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Mum or Sucker?!

Do you ever have those days when you agree to something and then it gets totally out of hand and you think 'How did that happen??!!'

Yup had one of those days. What started as Harry going to call for a friend at 11am ended up being an all day affair which ended at 6pm and noone actually asked me if that was ok!!!! Hmm I think I am losing a grip here LOl!

Oh well in between crowd control I managed to make Steve's card from the boys and I am really chuffed with it. Needless to say I will post a piccie of it on Friday as I want it to be a surprise.

So no new crafting piccies I am afraid so here is one of the boys. xxxxx

Sleepy Sunday!

Well I got my eldest back yesterday and boy did he have a good time!

So today has been a slow type of day really. To be honest I have not really had the energy to do much but I did manage to do Steve's birthday card (again) for Friday. Obviously I will not post a piccie until Fri morning but I am really pleased with card no 2!

Here is a layout I did of my mum and dad a little while ago now. It was done at a workshop last year and I really loved this layout. The pic is one of my favs and the papers ..... well they were so lovely I bought some for me!

Well must dash as I am in the middle of cooking tea but have a good evening xxxx

This is the life!!!

Well it is now. It certainly wasn't Wednesday 6pm through to Thursday 8pm!!!!!

That was when our neighbours burglar alarm decided to go off - yup that is right all 26 hours of ear piercing noise. It was not nice so much so that we had to keep all of the windows and doors shut - all day and all night. finally at 8pm last night the council came round and managed to arrange to have the thing turned off. Peace at last!

And today? well school shoes for George this morning followed by ironing, washing etc euck! But I am now sat in my garden soaking up the rays and catching up on blog things. Total bliss!

Tomorrow we go and collect my eldest from my mum and dad's. He has had a great week and has kept his grandparents entertained - good old Nanny and Grumpy LOL!

Right gotta go and catch some rays until the next load of washing has dried anyway!

Oh crikey!

It's Wednesday!!!!!

I have been a really bad blogger this week but .........I do have an excuse. I have found out this week that entertaining a four year old .....well my four year old......is no easy task. Oh no this child needs things to do constantly!!

Harry drove off to my mum and dad's on Saturday, so since then we have been a one child family. Not so bad you might think and so did I. Harry at that age was great at entertaining himslef, infact he liked playing wthout my butting in. George? Well he is a different animal all together really.

So we have hardly been at home and today is the same. My friend Claire is picking us up at 11ish and we are heading over to an American Diner for lunch. Then its time to tire the cildren out with a long walk around Stanwick Lakes. In the evening we have Claire's eldest son, who happens to be George's mate staying for a sleepover so that could be fun!!!!

Despite the busy week though we do have Thursday free so George can play around the house and indulge in some Playstation time if he wants!

Right gotta go and sort myself out. Have a good day xxxxx

Blimey o riley it's Friday!!!!

Crikey that was one quick week - it has flown by!

We also seem to be seeing a little bit of summer over the last few days and it has been glorious here. The boys have been dipping their toe outside occasionally and getting rid of all that energy they seem to have at the mo!

Over the last few days I have been crafting here and there. Nothing serious just playing about with a few odds and ends left from a magazine. This is one card I have made and I am fairly happy with it.

Tomorrow is the monthly craft market and Traci will of course be there with her sidekick (me!). She has lots of new products at the moment so tomorrow could be fun! I am only there until 12 as Mum and Dad are travelling down to pick up Harry who will be staying with them for the week.

I will really miss my boy next week and George and I have things planned so that we are busy! George is having his friend William over on Wednesday night for a sleepover so that will be fun - a 4 and 5 year old in the same room!!!!! We are also visiting friends during the week so lots of socialising will be done!

Right I am gonna indulge in a little bit of blog surfing! xxxx

It just got up and left me!!!!

My mojo has just completely left me at the moment. I want to make things but just have no imagination at all! So the solution was a copy of Lets make Cards and lift some designs.
This is something I don't normally do as I like my cards to be my own creation but needs must I am afraid.

Still I managed a few cards from the mag including this one which I do actually really like!

So what have I been up to? Well today I have been mainly socialising (and drinkingthe odd glass or two) which meant poor Steve came home and no tea was prepared! So a takeaway was required and then my friend Claire came over with her two kids. We managed a bottle of Cava between us while we sat in the evening sunshine chatting away. Is summer finally here with us?? I hope so.

I have just a couple of days left with my eldest before he visits my mum and dad for the week. I will miss him so much but I know he will have a great time with them as dad is having the week off work and they have one or two excursions planned. George and I are going to make sure we have things to do next week. He is going to have his friend Will over for a sleep over and he has an invitation to play with another friend. Busy boys!!!!!

Right may have an early night to see if my mojo will return during the night xxxx

Lovely and sunny!

We seem to at last have some lovely weather here - hurrah!!!

Well after yesterday's mammoth and I mean mammoth cleaning session I have a house that is well ...really clean. I do hate cleaning but when you have finally finished and sit down and look around it is nice to see.

Roofers are finally here this morning to fix the problems we have. The only downside to this is that I have had to miss the weekly card class run by Traci which I am gutted about as I really enjoy taking part in it.

Still I think I am going to indulge in a crating session of my own this morning. I deserve it I think LOL!

Here is a piccie of Steve with his Granny on Sunday. This lovely lady turned 90 at the weekend and she really enjoyed seeing her family all around her. She is moving on Friday from the home she has lived in for 50+ years to a sheltered housing complex, so I think it will be an emotional week for her.

Right cuppa on the go and crafting to start xxxx

Bleurgh!!!!

I have got housework to do today and bleurgh! I do not want to do it but there we go it is a fact of life and must be done.......by me.
So very little crafting will get done no doubt but get it all done today and hopefully I can indulge during the week - I can but try!
Well yesterday went really well at the party. I do have some pics but need to get them off the camera first.
Granny had a lovely birthday and sometimes I think it got quite emotional for her but she enjoyed it all!x
The boys had fun too and really behaved themselves which is great. Some members of the family had not seen them for a long time and could not believe how much they had grown.
It was a long day for them but they loved it!!
The photo I have posted is a quick card I did last week using a free decoupage image from a magazine. Very pink and very girly and also very simple but I like!
Right those surfaces are not going to clean themselves. I am going in and I may be sometime!!!

Busy afternoon!

What started as a very slow morning quickly descended into a very busy afternoon for me!
Infact I had no time for crafting which was a shame but here is a card I made during the week. I like it even though it is quite a plain card.

This evening I may get the chance to make a card or two depending on what is on the tv. I have a strong suspicision that darts may be on so I will be staying in my craft hideaway I think!

We are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather tomorrow. Steve's Mum and dad are hosting a party for his Granny and it would be lovely if all of the guests could sit outside.

Will try and post some pics of the party tomorrow evening if we are back in time.

Whatever you are doing tomorrow I hope you all have a lovely day!! xx

Wow!!!!

Well Harry and I went armed with popcorn to see Harry Potter this morning and the verdict???? Wow wow wow! It is fab and we both really enjoyed it. The effects are stunning and the fight scenes breathtaking. This will certainly be on dvd want list.
Alan Rickman (Prof Snape) has always been a fav of mine (I like them mysterious and moody LOL!) and as always he was brilliant. So too was Gary Oldman as Sirius Black. Oh I just loved it all!!!
It's been a great Harry Potter week seeing as the book also came out last week, which incidentally I lurved! I am not going to give away any of the plot but I was not disappointed with then ending and I think J K Rowling left all questions answered.

Anyway tomorrow is Saturday and the first week of our holiday is done. It is such a shame it has rained for most of the week especially as Steve has been off work. But we have been so lucky flood wise compared to some poor people in the country.
Tomorrow I am preparing a few things for a party on Sunday for Steve's granny who will be 90. She is a lovely lady who adores her grand children and great grandchildren. The boys have had their picture taken for her birthday and it is really lovely. I think she will really enjoy her party and hopefully the sun may make an appearance for a little while!!!
